The Specifics of a Septic Tank
There is a huge benefit to the additional services that Herrington’s offers beyond sales and installation. We will be able to recommend and tailor the specific septic tank to your home and household needs.
Size of the Leach Field
The leach field, also known as a septic drain field, is an important component in your septic system. Most septic system failures are caused by failed drain field systems.
The leach field is the underground area where septic pipes filter the wastewater from the tank into the soil. The soil breaks the wastewater down into natural bacteria.
The leach field size is determined by usage, size of household, size of the tank and a couple other factors. This is where a septic professional’s expertise comes in to play.
Location of the Septic Tank
As we have discussed previously, the location of your septic tank is quite important because if you ever decide to relocate, you have to be mindful not to drive directly over the septic system. If a truck were to try to drive over your septic tank, it would collapse, causing severe issues.
Should I Repair or Replace My Septic System Entirely?
Herrington’s is the company to trust and discuss repairing or replacing your entire septic system. If there is a repair we think would lengthen the lifespan of your septic system, we would be happy to complete the job.
If your septic system needs to be replaced entirely, we will be able to break down exactly why your septic system is beyond repair.
